GIVE IT BAG

WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND

When a GIVE IT BAG becomes your very own, you should think about the good you can do. It could be a small favour, or positive thinking and acting, or simply supporting a meaningful organisation - it’s all good. Your good deed - or deeds, even better - can be posted under your unique bag number and shared with the world. Inspire and be inspired. Even if it’s just to express a wish. If need be, our MOTIVATION page contains loads of suggestions. Submit your idea under NEW ENTRY to the right and let us know.

As a swimming teacher I give free lessons to under privileged kids around the world. Lately, I was in SriLanka and taught how to swim to kids aged between 6 abd 8 yrs old. Such a rewarding time!

When chosing my saving account, I looked carefully at what the bank had to offer: many banks have "special" investment or saving accounts where the money you place in the bank is used to support community projects or environmental causes!!! I opened a saving account where all the money saved is ONLY used for Greenpeace and small local charity projects! At least the money is not sleeping lazily in my bank account!!

GOOD NEED >>

Can GIVE IT BAG be sold in more stores around the world??? I would like to see such projects EVERYWHERE!!

GOOD DEED >>

From Christmas, for every present I received, I gave something away to person in needs. Clothes, food, even kitchen material, I made sure that I gave something that would be useful to the person who received it. The last present I received I baked a huge plate of chocolate muffins and brought it to the jobless people in the street.

GOOD NEED >>

Should not be waiting for the Xmas season to give away and help. Regular Spring Clean in my cupboards can bring smiles to many people.

GOOD DEED >>

I wake up and I smile, I shower and I sing, I eat breakfast and I dance around because the food is so yummy, I go to work and I enjoy every second of it, I run on the Sea Point Promenade in Cape Town and I am amazed, I give the car guard something to eat when I go grocery shopping, I tell my friends how beautiful they are, and every second of the day, I try to remember that it starts with small things. One after the other until it makes a huge bubble of hapiness. And then, maybe, the world will be a better place.

GOOD NEED >>

You finished a book you really liked? Leave it on a public bench with a note inside wishing the next person a "good read". Someone left a book and I found it. It was such a mind blowing experience (and a beautiful book!!) I always do it :)
